ALOA has received this advice following the Perth and Peel regions lockdown that took place over the ANZAC Day long weekend.
A post-lockdown transition will be in place until 12.01am, Saturday 1 May 2021. More information about this can be found at www.wa.gov.au.
While in the post-lockdown transition period, where practical, DWER staff in the Perth and Peel regions will be delivering services online. This means:
- Meetings with staff can be conducted through teleconferencing or video conferencing;
- Planned workshops and consultation can be moved online where practical;
- Staff can be contacted through their existing email address or phone number; and
- Regulated stakeholders are encouraged to use online systems to meet their regulatory obligations.
In all other regions of the State, outside Perth and Peel, DWER offices will be open and staff will be conducting business as usual.
If anyone has been in Perth or Peel since April 17 and are attending a DWER office in another region, they must wear a face mask and use the SafeWA app or sign the contact register.
If you’re unwell and have flu-like symptoms, please do not attend a DWER office. Please present for a COVID-19 test and follow the health advice as outlined on www.wa.gov.au.
Please note: statutory obligations remain in place, including water and environmental licence conditions and other regulatory responsibilities.
If you anticipate any significant risk to your ability to comply with your statutory responsibilities, under environmental and water legislation, please notify us by emailing compliance@dwer.wa.gov.au.
We will provide further updates as the situation changes and look forward to continuing to work with you through this period.
Yours sincerely
Mike Rowe
Director General
