Recycling Victoria has committed to develop a new waste and recycling Act and waste authority. The Act will seeks to:
- lift the performance of the recycling sector
- support the EPA to achieve its ambitious resource recovery targets
- ensure waste and recycling services are reliable and meet community expectations
- ensure greater transparency and service standards across the state
- better govern Victoria’s waste and recycling systems
- hold waste service providers to account
- ensure recent recycling disruptions are not repeated.
